If you encounter a profile, message, or content that violates our Community Guidelines, you can report it immediately:

Reporting a Profile:

  1. Open the user's profile
  2. Click the "Report" button (flag icon) in the top right corner
  3. Select the reason for reporting:
    • Inappropriate photos or content
    • Fake profile or scam
    • Harassment or abusive behavior
    • Underage user (under 18)
    • Spam or commercial solicitation
    • Other (provide details)
  4. Provide additional details (optional but helpful)
  5. Submit the report

Reporting a Message:

  1. Open the conversation
  2. Long-press (mobile) or right-click (desktop) on the message
  3. Select "Report Message"

2. What Happens When You Report Someone

When you submit a report, here's what happens:

  1. Immediate Review: Your report is sent to our moderation team for review within 24 hours
  2. Confidential Process: The reported user will NOT be notified that you reported them
  3. Investigation: Our team reviews the reported content, profile, and user history
  4. Action Taken: Depending on the severity:
    • Warning: First-time minor violations receive a warning
    • Content Removal: Inappropriate content is removed
    • Temporary Suspension: Account suspended for 7-30 days
    • Permanent Ban: Serious violations result in immediate permanent ban
  5. Follow-Up: You may receive a notification confirming action was taken (without specific details for privacy)

Zero Tolerance Policy: The following violations result in immediate permanent ban:

  • Underage users (under 18 years old)
  • Explicit nudity or pornographic content
  • Sexual solicitation or escort services
  • Threats, violence, or hate speech
  • Scams, fraud, or financial exploitation

3. How Our Moderation System Works

Pigkiss uses a hybrid moderation system combining AI technology and human review:

AI-Powered Moderation:

  • Photo Screening: All uploaded photos are automatically scanned for explicit nudity, inappropriate content, and policy violations
  • Text Analysis: Messages and profile text are analyzed for spam, sexual solicitation, and abusive language
  • Behavior Monitoring: Suspicious patterns (mass messaging, rapid account creation) are flagged
  • Age Detection: Profile photos are analyzed to detect potentially underage users

Human Review:

  • Moderation Team: Our trained moderation team reviews flagged content and user reports
  • 24/7 Monitoring: Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, urgent cases within 2 hours
  • Fair Process: All decisions are made by human moderators, not just AI

4. Age Verification Process

Pigkiss is strictly for adults 18 years and older. We take age verification seriously:

Mandatory Verification Steps:

  1. Date of Birth: You must provide your date of birth during registration (accounts under 18 are automatically rejected)
  2. Email Verification: Verify your email address by clicking the confirmation link
  3. Phone Verification: Verify your phone number with a one-time code (OTP) sent via SMS

Enhanced Verification (Stripe Identity):

In certain cases, you may be required to complete Stripe Identity verification:

  • When Required:
    • Your profile is flagged for age concerns or suspicious activity
    • You want to access certain premium features
    • You want a "Verified" badge on your profile (voluntary)
  • What You Need:
    • Government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, or national ID)
    • Live selfie photo for facial recognition
  • Privacy: Your ID is processed securely by Stripe (not stored by Pigkiss) and deleted after verification

5. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is protected by:

  • GDPR Compliance: Full compliance with EU data protection regulations
  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • No Data Selling: We never sell your personal data to third parties
  • Control: You control what information appears on your profile
  • Data Rights: You can request, download, or delete your data at any time

6. How to Block or Unmatch Users

Blocking a User:

  1. Open the user's profile or conversation
  2. Click the "Block" button (block icon)
  3. Confirm the action

What Happens When You Block Someone:

  • They can no longer see your profile or send you messages
  • You will no longer see their profile in your matches or search results
  • Existing conversations are hidden (but not deleted)
  • They are NOT notified that you blocked them

Unmatching a User:

  1. Open the conversation
  2. Click the "Unmatch" button
  3. Confirm the action

What Happens When You Unmatch:

  • The conversation is deleted for both users
  • You will no longer appear in each other's matches
  • You can still see each other's profiles in search (unless you also block them)

7. Safety Tips for Online Dating

Follow these safety tips to protect yourself:

Before Meeting:

  • ✅ Take your time getting to know someone before meeting in person
  • ✅ Video chat before meeting to verify their identity
  • ✅ Look for verified profiles (blue checkmark badge)
  • ✅ Trust your instincts – if something feels off, it probably is
  • ❌ Never send money or financial information to someone you haven't met
  • ❌ Don't share personal information (address, workplace) too early

First Meeting:

  • ✅ Meet in a public place (café, restaurant, park)
  • ✅ Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting
  • ✅ Arrange your own transportation (don't get in their car)
  • ✅ Keep your phone charged and with you at all times
  • ❌ Don't go to their home or invite them to yours on the first date
  • ❌ Don't leave your drink unattended

Red Flags to Watch For:

1. Registration & Profile Setup

  • Profile Visibility: Control who can see your profile (everyone, matches only, or hidden)
